Last Chance Circuz at King Richard’s Renaissance Faire
Stock characters from the sixteenth century ~ the Commedia dell’ Arte players . . .Arlecchino the tricky servant, Pantalone the old miser, the pompous Dottore, and the ridiculously ferocious Capitano . . . All on the King’s Stage at the present site of the Bristol Renaissance Faire in the complicated romantic adventure, The Capitano and the Three Maidens. Other scenarios included Capitano’s Revenge. We played for two seasons at King Richard’s Faire. The company won First Place in the Mime competition. John Mills ran the fair and later initiated the Dicken’s Fest in Chicago. The Last Chance Circuz performed at the Dicken’s Fest.
